What you would work on
- Scheduling trades and deliveries across several active jobs
- Permits, inspections and communication with city offices
- Keeping homeowners informed at every phase
- Tracking scope, change orders and budgets
- Quality checks and the final punch list
The trade in the Austin area
Our jobs span many permit offices: the City of Austin Development Services Department, separate building departments in Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown and the other suburbs, and unincorporated county land where there is no building permit but septic, floodplain and HOA approvals still apply. Knowing which rules govern each address, and planning around aquifer and tree rules, is a big part of the job.
What we look for
- Experience managing residential remodeling or home building projects
- Working knowledge of permits and inspections in Austin area cities
- Clear, organized communication with homeowners and trades
- Comfort with scheduling and job management software
How our jobs run
Every project has a project manager who schedules the trades, handles permits and inspections and keeps the homeowner informed, so you can focus on the work. Many of our jobs are in occupied homes, so a clean, protected work area at the end of each day matters as much as the work itself.
Licensing
Texas has no state license for construction project managers. Experience with City of Austin and suburban permitting is a strong plus.
Where you would work
Jobs are across the greater Austin metro, from central Austin to Round Rock, Georgetown, Lakeway, Dripping Springs, Kyle, San Marcos and Bastrop. Our office is at 5758 Balcones Dr, Suite 201A, Austin, TX 78731.
